Jhang: Facing escalating flood levels in the Chenab River, officials in Jhang have carried out a strategic breach of the Rawan Bridge to alleviate pressure and prevent catastrophic flooding in the city. Punjab Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed emphasized that this difficult but necessary step aims to shield Jhang from severe destruction.
He confirmed that preemptive evacuations of communities along the riverbanks have been successfully completed to eliminate any threats to human safety. Additionally, he directed the district administrations of Faisalabad and Jhang to maintain round-the-clock vigilance, with all officers actively deployed in flood management efforts.
