Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrives in Japan to a warm welcome

Tokyo: Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, arrived in Tokyo, Japan, from Thailand as part of her official overseas visit.

She landed at Tokyo’s Honda Airport, where she was received with a warm welcome. Senior officials from the Japanese government, along with diplomatic representatives, greeted the Chief Minister upon her arrival.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Abdul Hameed, officially welcomed the Punjab delegation and expressed appreciation for the Chief Minister’s visit aimed at strengthening ties between Punjab and Japan.

A large number of overseas Pakistanis residing in Japan were also present at the airport, enthusiastically welcoming CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The community expressed pride in her visit, viewing it as a step toward stronger engagement with the diaspora and international cooperation.

During her stay, the Chief Minister is expected to hold meetings with Japanese officials, investors, and members of the Pakistani community, with a focus on economic cooperation, trade, and education partnerships.
