Rescue, relief operations in full swing in flood-affected southern punjab areas

Bahawalpur : In the flood-affected districts of Bahawalpur, Ali Pur, and Lodhran in Southern Punjab, the Pakistan Army along with civil administration is actively engaged in comprehensive rescue and relief efforts. Emergency aid activities have been expanded in the vicinity of the River Sutlej to ensure timely assistance to the affected families.

According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, free medical camps have been established to provide immediate healthcare services to flood victims. These camps offer treatment and essential medicines to those affected by the floods. Additionally, army personnel are playing a vital role in evacuating people to safe locations and supplying food, water, and other basic necessities.

The Commander of Bahawalpur Corps visited the affected areas to oversee the relief activities and assess medical facilities. During his visit, he assured that the Pakistan Army would continue its assistance until complete rehabilitation of flood victims is achieved and pledged full cooperation.

Meanwhile, all civil departments and agencies involved in relief operations are working alongside the army. Joint efforts are underway to restore normalcy in the affected areas and provide urgent support to those impacted.

The local population has expressed deep gratitude for the prompt response and substantial aid provided by both the military and civil administration
