Law enforcement agencies arrest Afghan terrorist with TTP links

Peshawar: Law enforcement agencies have successfully arrested an Afghan terrorist named Satoray during a major operation. During interrogation, he confessed to his affiliation with the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and his involvement in planning terrorist activities.

Investigations revealed that the arrested terrorist hails from Nangarhar province in Afghanistan. Satoray had obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic jurisprudence from Ghazni University and later worked as a teacher at a madrassa in Kabul.

According to the suspect, he had pledged allegiance to TTP commander Qari Mohammad, who instructed him to travel to Peshawar under the guise of medical treatment. After receiving treatment, Qari Mohammad directed him to enroll in a madrassa in Peshawar and plan attacks on law enforcement agencies, including target killings.

In his confession, Satoray also revealed that Qari Mohammad had ordered him to target a religious scholar based in Kabul. However, before he could carry out the plan, he was arrested by law enforcement agencies during a timely operation.

Sources indicate that further investigations are ongoing, and more significant revelations related to TTP’s key network are expected in the coming days.
