Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said at the groundbreaking ceremony of the T-Chowk flyover that this project will be a significant development for the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The one-kilometer-long flyover will greatly facilitate commuting to the Expressway and other areas.
The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the Interior Minister and the Capital Development Authority (CDA), emphasizing that no compromise will be made on the quality of developmental projects.
He added that Pakistan will host the SCO Summit in 2027, and preparations must begin now. Several initiatives are underway to beautify Islamabad, including the renovation of Shahrah-e-Dastoor. Beautiful flowers will be planted along Shahrah-e-Dastoor within the next few weeks.
The Prime Minister mentioned that Tajikistan has gifted Pakistan various types of plants to enhance the city’s greenery.
Furthermore, he said new projects are underway, led by Mohsin Naqvi and Hanif Abbasi, to improve travel facilities in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, including the introduction of a rail car. This project will ease commuting for residents of the twin cities.
Regarding environmental protection, the launch of Electric Vehicle (EV) transport has begun. The federal government, under the leadership of the Interior Minister, will provide full support to improve travel facilities in the twin cities.
