Ali Amin Gandapur steps down as KP CM

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has resigned from his position, stating that the office was a “trust” granted to him by the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which he is now returning in accordance with his directive.

In his resignation note, Gandapur emphasized that the mandate to serve as Chief Minister was given to him as a form of trust. “Following the instructions of our party’s founder, I am returning this entrusted responsibility and formally resigning from my post,” he said.

Sources within the party revealed that the PTI leadership had already made the decision to replace Gandapur, a development later confirmed by PTI Secretary-General Barrister Salman Akram Raja.

The resignation has stirred fresh debate within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s political circles, highlighting growing internal differences in the party’s provincial hierarchy and signaling a possible reshuffle in PTI’s leadership ranks.
