Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Gul Bahadur camp along the border belt of North and South Waziristan. He stated that during the ceasefire period, foreign militants attempted to carry out terrorist attacks within Pakistan, but the security forces responded effectively and repelled the attacks.
Tarar confirmed that in the security operations, over 100 foreign terrorists were killed. Additionally, airstrikes carried out last night resulted in the deaths of 60 to 70 foreign militants, including members of their leadership.
The Minister of Information also shared that the foreign terrorist attack in North Waziristan led to the martyrdom of one civilian and one soldier, with several others wounded. He dismissed all speculations regarding civilians being deliberately targeted, calling them baseless.
Atta Tarar emphasized that while Pakistan believes in resolving issues through dialogue, it firmly holds the right to protect its territorial integrity and the lives and property of its citizens. He further stated that terrorists operating from Afghanistan will not be allowed to find a safe haven within Pakistan.
