Sindh assembly condemns Indian defense minister’s statement: Murad Ali Shah’s stance

Karachi: The Sindh Assembly has passed a resolution condemning the statement made by the Indian Defense Minister regarding Sindh. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, while addressing the assembly, declared that “No one can divide Sindh until the Day of Judgment. The Sindh that played a pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan will never entertain talks of division.”

Murad Ali Shah described the Indian Defense Minister’s statement as a reflection of a “defeated mindset” and stated that such remarks were aimed at sowing discord between the people of Pakistan and Sindh. He further noted that after Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto’s direct challenge to the Modi government, such statements were expected.

In an expressive tone, the Chief Minister quoted Bilawal Bhutto’s stance, saying, “Sindh is ours, either the water will flow or Modi’s blood will be shed here.” He emphasized that the people of Sindh, who are closely tied to the province’s water resources, would never betray their province, and they would not compromise on Sindh’s unity and territorial integrity under any circumstances.

The resolution stressed that Indian statements were merely the result of political point-scoring and that the people of Sindh remain united. It also emphasized that the provincial authorities are fully prepared to safeguard Sindh at every level.

This resolution by the Sindh Assembly sends a clear message of solidarity and unity, affirming that the people of Sindh will not be swayed by external attempts to create divisions. It also reiterates the province’s commitment to protecting its water resources and territorial sovereignty against any form of external interference.
