Huawei Pura 80 Series: Redefining Flagship Smartphones

ISLAMABAD: Huawei has launched its new flagship Pura 80 series, featuring the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Pro+ models.

This series introduces advanced camera systems, powerful processing, enhanced battery life, and improved connectivity.

The Pura 80 has a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display, while the Pro and Pro+ offer larger 6.8-inch quad-curved LTPO OLED screens protected by Kunlun Glass.

All models support adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120Hz and 10-bit color depth for vivid and smooth visuals.

Performance and Features

Huawei uses the Kirin 9020 chipset (7 nm) across the Pura 80 series.

Each model runs an octa-core CPU with different clock speeds and the Mali-G68 GPU.

The Pura 80 and Pro come with 12GB RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB, while the Pro+ has

16GB RAM and either 512GB or 1TB storage.

No microSD card slot is available on any model.

Operating systems include EMUI 14.2 internationally and HarmonyOS 5.1 in China.

All support 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G networks.

Camera and Display

The Pura 80 features a 50MP main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4–4.0), OIS, a 12MP periscope telephoto lens (5x optical zoom), and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.

The Pro and Pro+ models upgrade to a 1-inch 50MP main sensor with dual pixel PDAF and OIS, a 48MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, and a 40MP ultra-wide camera.

All models include a 13MP ultra-wide front camera with autofocus.

Displays vary: the Pura 80 offers 1256×2760 pixels at 6.6 inches, while the Pro and Pro+ have 1276×2848 pixels at

6.8 inches with higher peak brightness (3000 nits).

Color options include Black, White, Gold, Green for Pura 80 and Pro, while Pro+ adds Red.

Battery and Pricing

The Pura 80 is powered by a 5600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Pro and Pro+ have 5700mAh batteries with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, plus reverse wireless charging capabilities.

Pricing starts at USD 905 for the Pura 80 Pro (12GB/256GB) and USD 1,115 for the Pro+ (12GB/512GB).

The standard Pura 80’s release date is yet to be announced.
