Islamabad: The government has raised the rates of petroleum products, adding extra pressure on consumers.
As per the official notification, petrol prices have been increased by Rs8 per liter, taking the new price to Rs266.17 per liter.
Diesel has also been made more expensive, with an increase of Rs5.16 per liter. Analysts warn that the surge in fuel costs is likely to push up transportation charges and the prices of goods, impacting everyday household expenses. Citizens have voiced concerns, saying the price hike will further strain their budgets.
