Moro : President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday urged collective efforts to strengthen national institutions, including the establishment, while stressing the need for economic stability and reforms in the agriculture sector.
Addressing a public gathering in Moro, the president said Pakistan must focus on empowering its people financially and adopting modern agricultural techniques to meet current challenges.
Referring to regional affairs, Zardari said the international community had not adequately highlighted the alleged mistreatment of Muslims in India.
He also stated that Pakistan had delivered a strong response during a brief confrontation with India, including the downing of aircraft, which he claimed “made them realize the situation.”
The president further said that improving governance and reinforcing state institutions remain key challenges for the country, adding that national unity is essential for stability and progress.
Later, he met local leaders and elected representatives at the residence of Sindh Interior Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar.
