Islamabad : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that strengthening exports and increasing domestic industrial production through effective policy measures remain top priorities of the government.
He made these remarks while chairing a review meeting in Islamabad focused on sectoral reforms and policy initiatives aimed at boosting investment and accelerating economic growth.
The Prime Minister underlined that the development of industry and manufacturing, along with increased foreign investment, is vital for the country’s long-term economic stability and progress.
He said that reforms in trade, industry, and other economic sectors should be structured in a way that ensures sustainable economic benefits and improved public welfare.
PM Shehbaz noted that work is ongoing on a comprehensive plan to meet future energy needs through renewable and alternative energy sources.
He also emphasized the importance of a strong and effective electric vehicle (EV) policy to promote energy conservation and provide affordable transportation options.
The Prime Minister further stressed better coordination among all ministries for effective policy formulation and implementation.
He reiterated that transparency in governance and strong performance across all reforms remain the government’s foremost priority.
