YouTube, PTCL services disrupted in parts of Pakistan

Lahore : Internet connectivity and YouTube access have been disrupted in several parts of Pakistan, with users reporting slow browsing speeds, intermittent connections and difficulties accessing online platforms.

Data from Downdetector, which monitors outages and service disruptions, showed a noticeable rise in complaints from users across the country regarding YouTube and internet connectivity.

Users have reported a range of problems, including sluggish internet speeds, frequent connection drops and trouble accessing certain online services.

The sharp increase in outage reports on Downdetector suggests that the connectivity problems may be affecting users across multiple areas rather than being limited to a particular location.

PTCL customers have also reported disruptions on the company’s network, adding to concerns over the wider connectivity issue.

The reason behind the outage remains unclear. Neither the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) nor PTCL has so far released an official statement regarding the disruption or provided information on when normal services are expected to resume.
