ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a regional diplomatic tour from May 25 to 30.
The visit aims to strengthen ties with Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan and to express gratitude for their support during Pakistan’s recent escalation with India.
Key Objectives of the Visit
According to the Foreign Office, the prime minister will engage in “wide-ranging discussions” with the leaders of these nations on bilateral relations and regional and international issues.
He will also attend the International Conference on Glaciers in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from May 29–30.
Diplomatic Delegation Led by Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari
In a related development, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has been entrusted with leading a high-level diplomatic delegation to key world capitals, including London, Washington, Paris, and Brussels.
The mission is to counter India’s disinformation campaign and reinforce Pakistan’s position on the regional conflict.
Meeting Between PM Shehbaz and Bilawal
On May 23, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss strategies for presenting Pakistan’s narrative effectively on the international stage.

Senator Sherry Rehman and former federal minister Hina Rabbani Khar accompanied Bilawal during the meeting.
The prime minister expressed confidence in the delegation’s ability to represent Pakistan’s interests abroad.
