ISLAMABAD: SAZEW has recorded a significant increase in SUV sales in May 2025, marking an 18% year-on-year (YoY) growth.
Sales reached 919 units in May compared to 780 units sold in the same month last year.
Month-on-month (MoM), this also marks a solid 67% increase from April’s 549 units.
This strong performance continues SAZEW’s upward momentum in the SUV segment.
Over the first 11 months of FY25, SUV sales rose to 9,495 units compared to 4,504 units during the same period in FY24.
This translates to an impressive 111% YoY increase for the cumulative period.
SUV Sales Lead the Way
The SUV segment appears to be the main driver of SAZEW’s growth this fiscal year.
Despite slight month-to-month fluctuations, May’s numbers demonstrate renewed consumer confidence and strong market demand.
February and March sales also held solid ground with 883 and 943 units sold respectively.
Analysts attribute this surge to improved availability, favorable financing options, and increasing preference for larger vehicles.
As supply chains continue to stabilize, expectations remain high for sustained SUV growth in the remaining months of the fiscal year.
3-Wheeler Market Shows Slight Dip
In contrast, SAZEW’s 3-wheeler sales declined by 5% YoY in May 2025.
Units sold dropped to 1,865 compared to 1,962 in May 2024.
MoM data also reflects a 5% drop from April’s 1,958 units.
Still, the cumulative 11MFY25 figures show solid growth with 23,351 units sold compared to 13,196 in 11MFY24.
This represents a strong 77% YoY increase, indicating overall resilience in the segment.
