Pakistan Denounces US Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of the recent US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, labeling them a blatant violation of international law and a threat to regional stability.

In an official statement, the Foreign Office emphasized that Iran retains the right to defend itself in line with the United Nations Charter.

The statement expressed grave concern over the escalating tensions and violence in the region, urging immediate steps to protect civilian lives and property.

The Foreign Office warned that the continuation of such hostilities could have dire consequences not just for the region, but for global peace as well.

Urges Diplomacy and Respect for International Law

The government of Pakistan called upon all involved parties to uphold international humanitarian law.

It stressed that dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful negotiation under the framework of the UN Charter are the only viable solutions to the growing crisis.

The statement reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, encouraging all sides to step back and pursue a diplomatic path.

Dar Slams Israeli Aggression, Affirms Iran’s Rights

Speaking at the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Istanbul, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar echoed these concerns.

He strongly condemned Israel’s military aggression against Iran and described it as a serious breach of international norms.

Dar highlighted what he termed the “double standards” in global responses to Israel’s actions and warned against undermining regional peace for political interests.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Iran’s right to self-defense and stressed that the Iran-Israel conflict must be resolved through diplomacy.

Pakistan, he concluded, remains dedicated to efforts that support long-term peace, dialogue, and stability in the Middle East.
