PM, Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Middle East Crisis and Regional Peace

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East.

The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s full support for the de-escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict and stressed peaceful resolution through diplomacy and adherence to international law and the UN Charter.

Support for Sovereignty and Peace Initiatives

PM Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He praised the Kingdom’s efforts to restore peace in the region and highlighted its global status as a responsible peacemaker and leader of the Muslim Ummah.

He also thanked the Kingdom for its steadfast support during Pakistan’s recent standoff with India.

The premier expressed Pakistan’s readiness to engage in meaningful dialogue with India on long-standing issues such as Jammu and Kashmir, trade, terrorism, and water disputes.

Mutual Gratitude and Regional Cooperation

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated Pakistan’s solidarity and its constructive stance on the Middle East crisis.

He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to promoting lasting peace in the region and acknowledged Islamabad’s efforts to support diplomatic solutions.

PM Shehbaz also extended heartfelt felicitations on the successful completion of Hajj and expressed gratitude for the hospitality shown to Pakistani pilgrims.

He conveyed warm regards to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
