ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has issued a powerful call to the international community to act urgently against what he described as Israel’s “genocidal plans” targeting Palestinians.
Speaking at the 52nd Foundation Day ceremony of the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI), Dar condemned Israel’s ongoing brutality in Gaza and warned that peace in the Middle East remains impossible without justice for Palestinians.
India Warned Over Water Treaty and Kashmir Issue
Dar also strongly criticized India for its attempts to unilaterally suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, calling it an act of aggression.
He emphasized that any move to weaponize water would be treated as an act of war and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peaceful coexistence.
Reiterating Pakistan’s position on Kashmir, Dar said it remains an internationally recognized dispute and must be resolved according to UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Support for Iran, Strategic Focus on China
The Deputy PM condemned Israeli aggression against Iran and stressed the need for dialogue to address Tehran’s nuclear issue.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Iran’s sovereignty and hailed the recent ceasefire as a positive development.
Dar concluded by praising ISSI’s role in foreign policy development and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with China, enhancing regional diplomacy, and increasing foreign investment.
