5 crew members martyred as KP govt relief helicopter crashes in Bajaur

Peshawar: A helicopter carrying relief supplies on behalf of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government crashed in the Mohmand district on its way to Bajaur, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, including two pilots.

The helicopter had taken off from Peshawar and lost contact after reaching the Chingi Banda area in Mohmand. According to officials, bad weather is believed to be the main cause of the crash.

Local sources say the crash was so severe that reaching the site has been difficult, and rescue operations are still underway.

In light of the tragedy, the KP government has declared a day of mourning across the province tomorrow.
