Flood situation in Punjab: Authorities release emergency contact numbers

Lahore:Due to heavy rains and rising river levels causing flooding in various districts of Punjab, the administration has issued emergency contact numbers for immediate assistance, rescue, and coordination.

According to the spokesperson, the Pakistan Army is working alongside civil authorities to conduct relief operations in the flood-affected areas. Dozens of villages have been evacuated, and affected people are being moved to safer locations. Relief camps have also been established to provide shelter and essential services.

In Lahore Division, nearly 500 military officers and personnel are actively engaged in relief efforts across different locations.

Together, the military and civil administration have set up 21 rescue and relief camps in Kasur and other affected areas. Individuals trapped in floodwaters are being rescued and relocated to secure places.

So far, approximately 10,000 people from 72 villages have been evacuated. Rescue teams are using boats and other equipment to reach affected areas continuously.

Besides relocation, arrangements have been made to provide basic necessities, including initial medical aid, to ensure quick response in case of emergencies.

The combined efforts of the army and administration have accelerated relief operations, with ongoing distribution of food, clean water, and medicines to the flood-affected population.
