Punjab: Due to the ongoing flood situation in the rivers of Punjab, more than 4.5 million people have been affected so far. The flooding of the River Ravi alone has severely damaged 1,482 villages, causing extensive harm to residential areas, agricultural lands, and critical infrastructure.
Additional Director General of PDMA, Jawad Haider Shah, stated that the government’s top priority is the rehabilitation and relief of the affected population. All relevant departments and agencies are actively engaged, utilizing all available resources to assist those impacted.
He appealed to the public to strictly follow safety instructions and fully cooperate with the relief teams to ensure that aid operations in the affected areas are efficient and expedited.
