Pakistan, China sign 24 MoUs to strengthen digital cooperation

Islamabad : Pakistan and China have strengthened their technological collaboration with the signing of 24 memoranda of understanding (MOUs) aimed at enhancing digital cooperation.

The agreements, finalized in Beijing under the Joint Working Group on IT Cooperation, include a combination of government-to-government, government-to-business, and business-to-business partnerships, with one, seven, and sixteen agreements respectively.

The focus of the collaboration is the creation of a forward-thinking digital corridor, designed to encourage innovation and broaden opportunities in the IT sector. This initiative is expected to open new avenues for Pakistani technology companies while also facilitating joint progress in ICT infrastructure development.

The Ministry of IT and Telecom has been at the forefront of driving international partnerships to equip up to 300,000 Pakistani youth with advanced digital skills, promote the adoption of artificial intelligence, and boost the country’s IT exports and digital capabilities. This marks a significant step toward positioning Pakistan as a competitive force in the global technology arena.
