Islamabad : Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with EU High Representative and Vice President Kaja Kallas to discuss the current regional situation and ongoing diplomatic developments.
During the call, Ishaq Dar welcomed regular and constructive engagement between Pakistan and the European Union amid evolving regional dynamics. He also briefed her on the outcomes and progress of the recent Islamabad Talks.
Kaja Kallas appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and facilitating role in enabling direct engagement between the United States and Iran, acknowledging its efforts in bringing both sides to the negotiating table.
Both leaders emphasized that diplomacy and dialogue remain essential tools for resolving tensions and stressed the importance of continued engagement to achieve peaceful outcomes.
They also reviewed the positive trajectory of Pakistan–EU relations, expressed satisfaction over strengthening cooperation, and agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest.
