NCCIA summons YouTuber Iqra Kanwal over promotion of gambling apps

Lahore: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued a summons to the prominent YouTube personality Iqra Kanwal regarding her alleged involvement in advertising online gambling applications on various social media channels. This is the third official notice issued to her by the agency.

Through her attorney, Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq, Iqra Kanwal has responded in writing, stating that she is currently expecting a child and has been instructed by medical professionals to maintain complete rest for a period of two months. Due to her condition, she is unable to appear for the agency’s inquiry at present.

The NCCIA has made it clear that if Iqra Kanwal fails to attend within the designated timeframe, it will be interpreted as a lack of any substantial defense.

Besides Iqra Kanwal, individuals named Rajab Butt and Muhammad Anas have also been directed to appear before the agency on September 9 for questioning.
