After Clean Punjab, Now Developed Punjab Campaign Launched: Uzma Bukhari

 

Lahore : Punjab’s Information Minister Uzma Bukhari said that after the Clean Punjab campaign, a new campaign called “Developed Punjab” has been launched to further improve development and cleanliness in the province.

At a press conference, Uzma Bukhari said that some people are spreading false news regarding the audit report without proper investigation, while excellent security arrangements were made on the day of Ashura, and all sects displayed great religious harmony.

The Information Minister said that there has been a significant decrease in crime rates in Punjab, especially a 68% decline in Lahore, which has been declared safer than many international cities. No crimes were reported in Chakwal, Bhulwal, and Hafizabad in the last two days, although a burglary occurred in Gujrat yesterday.

She stated that 1,509 wanted criminals have been arrested across Punjab, and 614 children have been rescued from kidnappers. Operations against criminals are ongoing throughout the province.

Uzma Bukhari said that the provincial Counter Crime Department (CCD) has been strengthened on the model of the FBI, having arrested over 1,500 wanted criminals, and its investigations are considered final.

The Information Minister emphasized that no thief or robber will be allowed freedom in Punjab now. After the success of the Clean Punjab campaign, the Developed Punjab campaign has now been launched to promote further development in the province.
