Bannu :Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Bannu, where they attended a high-level meeting to review the country’s security situation and ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
The leadership paid tribute to 12 brave soldiers who were martyred during an anti-terror operation in South Waziristan by attending their funeral prayers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that comprehensive and effective operations against terrorism will continue nationwide, with no compromise or ambiguity tolerated on this matter. He sent a clear message to Afghanistan to either stand with Pakistan or cease supporting foreign terrorists.
The Prime Minister stated that the Pakistani nation rejects politics or misleading narratives regarding terrorism, and the government will promptly implement stricter legal and administrative measures to ensure national security.
This visit highlights the government’s firm resolve against terrorism and underscores the need for joint efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
