Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in various parts of the country today (Monday), including Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Scattered showers are expected, accompanied by thunder in some regions.
On Sunday, rain caused several accidents in different areas. In Malakand, two sisters died after a wall collapsed due to heavy rainfall. In Kohat, one person lost his life when the roof of a house caved in.
In Jamrud, a subdivision of Khyber District, two young girls were swept away by flash floods. Rescue teams recovered the body of one girl, while the search for the other is ongoing.
Authorities have advised citizens to exercise caution, especially in low-lying areas, and to follow safety guidelines during the current spell of monsoon rains.
