Rawalpindi :Pakistan successfully hosted the highly anticipated Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference in Islamabad today, marking a pivotal moment for advancing military diplomacy and regional security collaboration. The conference brought together senior military leaders from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan under the theme “Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace.”
The event underscored the importance of closer security cooperation and mutual trust to address emerging threats such as terrorism, cyber insecurity, and violent extremism. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, formally welcomed the delegations, emphasizing the need for a united front in combating transnational security challenges.
During the high-level discussions, delegates delved into regional security dynamics, the evolving strategic landscape in Central and South Asia, and the necessity of joint military training, counterterrorism initiatives, and coordinated humanitarian responses.
