Pakistan Hosts Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference to Strengthen Military Cooperation and Regional Security

Rawalpindi :Pakistan successfully hosted the highly anticipated Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference in Islamabad today, marking a pivotal moment for advancing military diplomacy and regional security collaboration. The conference brought together senior military leaders from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan under the theme “Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace.”

The event underscored the importance of closer security cooperation and mutual trust to address emerging threats such as terrorism, cyber insecurity, and violent extremism. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, formally welcomed the delegations, emphasizing the need for a united front in combating transnational security challenges.

During the high-level discussions, delegates delved into regional security dynamics, the evolving strategic landscape in Central and South Asia, and the necessity of joint military training, counterterrorism initiatives, and coordinated humanitarian responses. The conference highlighted the shared resolve of participating nations to uphold peace, respect national sovereignty, and work collaboratively on common security concerns.

The event was praised for Pakistan’s leadership in fostering inclusive, forward-thinking defense diplomacy, reinforcing its commitment to building a secure, interconnected, and cooperative regional environment.
