Iraq: President Zardari visits shrines in Baghdad during official visit

Baghdad : During his ongoing four-day visit to Iraq, President Asif Ali Zardari paid a visit to several revered shrines, starting with the shrines of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) and Imam-e-Azam Abu Hanifa (RA) on Monday.

The president, who is in Iraq for diplomatic engagements, also visited the shrines of Imam Musa al-Kazim and Imam Muhammad al-Taqi al-Jawad (AS) in the holy city of Kazimiya.

At each shrine, President Zardari offered Fateha and prayed earnestly for the unity, peace, and safety of the Muslim Ummah. During his visit to Kazimiya, he left a heartfelt note in the visitors’ book, acknowledging that the wisdom and teachings of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) continue to serve as a lasting source of knowledge, patience, and moral guidance.

In addition to his prayers, President Zardari engaged in meaningful discussions with the custodians and religious scholars at all the shrines, emphasizing the importance of their teachings and the role these sacred sites play in fostering spiritual and communal harmony.
