Gilgit: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully completed a significant relief operation in the flood-affected and remote regions of Gilgit-Baltistan. Despite adverse weather conditions and challenging mountainous terrain, PAF C-130 aircraft delivered over 7 tons of dry ration, medicines, and other essential supplies, while safely rescuing more than 75 stranded individuals.
According to ISPR, the relief supplies were transported from PAF Base Nur Khan to Gilgit and will be distributed in remote valleys with the assistance of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), where road access has been cut off, leaving locals isolated from aid.
The relief mission is part of a nationwide emergency response effort aimed at protecting human lives during natural disasters.
The spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces described the operation as a reflection of dedication and national service, assuring that the armed forces stand with the people in every time of hardship.
