Trump hints at Islamabad visit following potential Iran deal

Washington: US President Donald Trump has suggested that he may travel to Islamabad if ongoing negotiations with Iran result in a successful agreement.

While speaking at the White House, Trump noted that discussions with Iran are moving forward positively and expressed confidence that a deal could be reached in the near future. He indicated that such an outcome could lead to further diplomatic engagement, including a possible visit to Pakistan.

He also recognized Pakistan’s role in supporting dialogue and easing tensions, describing its involvement as helpful in maintaining communication between key parties.

Trump reiterated that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains a top priority for the United States, adding that continued talks are aimed at achieving stability and avoiding further conflict. He warned that failure to reach an agreement could escalate tensions, whereas a successful deal could contribute to improved economic conditions globally.

Analysts believe his remarks reflect Pakistan’s increasing importance in regional diplomacy, especially in facilitating dialogue between major powers.
