Pakistan Achieves Milestone in IT Exports, Reaches $3.8 Billion Mark

Islamabad: In a significant leap forward, Pakistan’s IT sector posted a record $3.8 billion in exports by the end of FY2025  the highest export figure in the country’s history.The achievement follows strategic collaboration between the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the Ministry of Information Technology, resulting in an 18% surge in IT, IT-enabled services (ITeS), and freelance exports.

Under the vision of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of IT implemented targeted initiatives focusing on global outreach, infrastructure investment, talent development, and policy support. This multi-pronged approach has significantly strengthened Pakistan’s footprint in the international digital marketplace.

The government has placed a strong emphasis on expanding digital connectivity, internet speed, and online payment systems, paving the way for a more inclusive and robust digital economy.

With a long-term target of $15 billion in IT exports by 2030, Pakistan is now well on its way to becoming a competitive global IT hub. Officials believe that sustained momentum, combined with the government’s digital-first approach, will further enhance export growth and economic resilience.
