PM Shehbaz Begins Official Visit to UAE

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to travel to the United Arab Emirates on June 12 for an official visit.

This trip aims to thank UAE leadership for their support during the recent conflict between Pakistan and India.

The visit highlights the strong brotherly ties and longstanding cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE across various sectors.

High-Level Meetings and Strategic Discussions

PM Shehbaz will be accompanied by senior officials including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar.

He will hold key meetings with UAE leaders, including a bilateral session with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Discussions will cover a broad range of bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual concern.

This visit is expected to deepen economic partnerships and strengthen multi-dimensional cooperation between the two countries.

Economic Growth and Political Support

The prime minister recently welcomed a 13.7% rise in remittances for May 2025, signaling growing overseas

Pakistani confidence in government policies.

During the current fiscal year, Pakistan received $34.9 billion in remittances, marking a 28.8% increase over the previous year.

Separately, a PML-Q delegation met with PM Shehbaz, expressing full backing for his economic and welfare initiatives.

The delegation praised his leadership during recent Indo-Pak tensions and his efforts to boost Pakistan’s global standing.
