US imposes sanctions on 32 foreign entities; China condemns the move

Washington : The United States has imposed trade sanctions on 32 individuals and entities allegedly involved in providing financial support, smuggling, and attacks linked to the Houthi movement. Out of these, 23 entities are based in China.

The list also includes organizations from India, Iran, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

China has strongly condemned the US action, calling it a violation of international law and fundamental principles of diplomatic relations.

Meanwhile, the US Department of Treasury has urged the G7 countries and European allies to impose tariffs on China and India to halt their trade in Russian oil, aiming to weaken Russia’s economy.
