ISLAMABAD: A mild earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale struck Turbat and nearby areas in Balochistan on Sunday, causing temporary panic among residents.
The tremors were felt early in the day, prompting people to rush out of their homes and recite verses from the Holy Quran as a reflex to the sudden jolt.
Epicenter and Seismic Details
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) in Islamabad, the epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Turbat, at a depth of 34 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties or property damage had been reported in any part of the city or its surrounding regions.

While the quake caused fear among locals, emergency services remained on alert and local authorities monitored the situation closely.
