California : WhatsApp has unveiled a new artificial intelligence feature called “Writing Help” to assist users in drafting, editing, and adjusting the tone of their messages.
Powered by Meta’s private processing technology, the feature guarantees that neither WhatsApp nor Meta can view users’ original texts or AI-generated suggestions, ensuring full privacy and encryption.
With “Writing Help,” users can create alternative versions of their messages in styles such as formal, witty, or casual, enhancing their communication options.
Meta explains that this feature aims to keep users within the WhatsApp ecosystem by offering in-app AI assistance, minimizing the need to use outside tools like ChatGPT.
The feature is currently being launched in limited regions, with plans for a global rollout soon.
