Murree: In a powerful initiative to connect with the youth, Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, visited several leading educational institutions in Murree, where he held a motivational and thought-provoking session with students.
Learners from Army Public School, Convent of Jesus and Mary, and Presentation Convent School participated in the event, engaging in open dialogue on subjects related to national defense, patriotism, and security awareness.
During the session, students posed insightful questions about Pakistan’s defense strategy, challenges to national security, and the importance of civic responsibility. Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif praised their intellectual curiosity and spirit, saying:
“These young voices represent the soul of our nation. Their clarity of thought and commitment to the country is nothing short of inspiring.”
The interaction reflected the deep-rooted respect and trust that the younger generation places in the Pakistan Army. Students shared heartfelt messages of solidarity, with one group stating,
“The Pakistan Army is not separate from us — we are one. In the face of any threat, we stand together with our soldiers.”
Students also emphasized the need for more such engagements between youth and national institutions, suggesting that direct communication with the armed forces helps build a stronger sense of belonging, patriotism, and national identity.
They expressed hope that this initiative would mark the beginning of long-term collaboration between educational bodies and the military, allowing students to better understand the responsibilities and sacrifices involved in protecting the nation.
The visit concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among the students, who left inspired and proud of their identity as Pakistanis.
