UK court rules against Adil Raja in defamation suit filed by Brigadier (r) Rashid Naseer

London: YouTuber Adil Raja, who stirred controversy by making accusations on social media, has been held accountable by a British court. The court ruled his allegations to be completely unfounded and false, delivering a verdict in favor of Brigadier (Retd.) Rashid Naseer.

Justice Richard Spearman, in his detailed judgment, stated that Adil Raja’s claims were not supported by any evidence. The court ordered Adil Raja to pay £50,000 in damages to Brigadier Naseer and also bear all legal costs related to the case.

The judgment made it clear that making unproven accusations on social media amounts to defamation and will attract legal consequences.

The court also emphasized that there was a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of Rashid Naseer, which is unacceptable under the law.
