Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held an important meeting with former President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr (Presidency) in Islamabad on Thursday.
According to sources, the two leaders engaged in detailed discussions about critical national issues, focusing heavily on potential political changes in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). They also deliberated on the government’s future strategy and explored possible power-sharing arrangements.
The meeting was also attended by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
Sources described the interaction as cordial, with both sides holding comprehensive consultations on the current political landscape. The discussions also included the government’s roadmap for the coming weeks.
After the meeting, PM Shehbaz left for the Prime Minister’s House.
Political analysts have noted that Islamabad has seen an unusual surge in political activity recently, and this high-level meeting at the presidency could indicate significant decisions ahead, particularly concerning AJK’s political developments.
