Bannu: In a significant counter-terrorism operation, security forces have successfully killed 8 militants associated with an Indian-backed proxy group in the Bannu region. The operation, which took place in the early hours of the morning, was a targeted move aimed at neutralizing a group of terrorists planning to disrupt peace and stability in the area.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the killed terrorists were found in possession of a large cache of weapons and ammunition. These weapons included rifles, explosives, and other military-grade equipment that the militants had planned to use to create chaos within the country.
The security forces, acting on intelligence reports, had tracked the movements of the terrorist group and launched the operation at a strategically important location in Bannu. The militants had been part of a larger network believed to be working under the direction of Indian intelligence agencies, according to military sources.
