Lahore: The globally renowned American magazine Forbes has recognized the Punjab government’s “Clean Punjab Program” as a fast and effective reform model, praising the performance of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the administrative team in its report. Prominent analyst Paul Klein, in his article, highlighted that the Punjab government has turned the complex issues of urban cleanliness and waste management into a positive opportunity through strategic planning and practical measures in a short span of time.
According to the report, significant improvements have been made in the use of technology, integrated monitoring, field management, and institutional coordination under the program, which has led to a noticeable improvement in cleanliness standards in major cities across the province. Forbes described this as a “fresh example of practical governance performance.”
Following the Forbes report, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Punjab team for their performance, stating that global recognition of the program is encouraging for Pakistan. He remarked that the “Clean Punjab Program” has become a successful symbol of innovation, better governance, and strong planning.
