Pakistan extends airspace ban on India for another month

Islamabad: Pakistan has extended its airspace ban for Indian flights by an additional month. According to a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, Indian-registered passenger, military, and private aircraft will not be allowed to use Pakistan’s airspace until January 24, 2026.

This marks the ninth such NOTAM, as Pakistan has kept its airspace closed to Indian aircraft since April 24, 2025. Analysts suggest that this ongoing ban will limit air connectivity between the two countries, potentially affecting both commercial flights and transit routes.

Experts believe that the move is driven by the current tense relations and security concerns, and it could increase economic and diplomatic pressure between India and Pakistan.
