PIA to restart London flights from March 2026, enhancing UK connectivity

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced that it will resume flights to London starting March 2026, marking a significant expansion of its services to the United Kingdom. This development is expected to improve the air link between Pakistan and the UK, providing passengers with more travel options and convenience.

According to sources within the airline, PIA has been allocated weekly slots for four flights at London’s Heathrow Airport. These slots were previously given to Turkish Airlines to ensure they remained available during the period of operational restrictions. However, PIA has now successfully reclaimed them.

The sources further explained that during the restriction phase, PIA temporarily transferred its valuable slots to Turkish Airlines to prevent them from being lost. With the restrictions now lifted, these slots have been returned to PIA, allowing the airline to restart its London operations in March 2026.

The revival and expansion of PIA’s flight services to London are expected to enhance travel options for passengers while boosting the airline’s revenue, further strengthening its financial standing in the international aviation market.
