At Least 35 killed, over 1,200 arrested in ongoing Iran protests

Tehran (Web Desk): The death toll in the ongoing violent protests in Iran has risen to 35. On the ninth day of the demonstrations, clashes between protesters and police continued, further intensifying the unrest across the country.

During the ongoing crackdown, authorities have detained more than 1,200 protesters. Iran’s Chief Justice remarked that hostile forces are trying, and failing, to destabilize the nation, and vowed that strict legal measures will be enforced against those responsible for spreading chaos.

Furthermore, the Iranian government has announced the introduction of a $7 monthly allowance for every citizen, aimed at improving their financial conditions and offering some economic relief to the public.
