Operation Ghazab lil Haq: Pakistan forces maintain strong, decisive offensive against Afghan Taliban

Rawalpindi : Pakistani security forces have launched a major counteroffensive against the Afghan Taliban following unprovoked attacks along the Pak-Afghan border, successfully dismantling multiple militant positions and regaining control of key areas.

According to military sources, the Pakistan Army carried out coordinated operations along the border, capturing several Taliban posts and asserting control over contested locations, symbolically hoisting the Pakistani flag.

Taliban check posts in the Gursal sector were neutralized, a Barikot base near Chitral was destroyed, and multiple hideouts in the Kurram sector were eliminated.

Under Operation Ghazab lil Haq, the Pakistan Air Force conducted airstrikes on Taliban positions, including a large ammunition depot in Nangarhar. Key Taliban posts at Kharlachi Terminal and several frontline positions along the border were also destroyed.

Strategic air raids targeted military installations in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia. Two brigade headquarters in Kabul were demolished, while Kandahar saw the elimination of one corps headquarters, one brigade headquarters, a logistics hub, and an ammunition depot.

Simultaneous ground operations were carried out in Bajaur, Wali Khan, and Angoor Adda sectors, preventing further Taliban attacks and neutralizing several insurgents. Posts in Paktia and Paktika were captured, with Pakistan’s flag raised over five positions opposite South Waziristan, including two near Shawal, two near Angoor Adda, and one near Zarmalan. The Afghan terminal at Angoor Adda was also destroyed.

Heavy damage was inflicted on Taliban infrastructure, including border terminals at Angoor Adda and Warsak, the Manu Jabba post, and camps at Shapula, Khyber, and Khawar.

Military sources emphasized that operations were conducted professionally, with Afghan flags respectfully lowered and Pakistani flags raised over captured sites. The coordinated use of airstrikes, artillery, and drones demonstrated Pakistan’s capability to respond swiftly and decisively to cross-border threats.
