Islamabad : The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a fresh weather advisory for several parts of the country, warning of heavy rain expected within the next 24 hours.
Officials stated that an active weather system is moving into Pakistan, which is likely to bring widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and possible hail in multiple regions.
According to the Meteorological Department in collaboration with NDMA, rain and storm activity is forecast in various districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In northern and hilly areas, the wet spell may further intensify cold conditions.
Authorities have also cautioned that hailstorms in some locations could damage standing crops, posing a threat to agricultural productivity.
NDMA has placed all relevant institutions on high alert and instructed them to remain prepared for any emergency response.
The public has been advised to avoid exposure to electric poles and unstable structures during storms, to check weather updates before traveling to mountainous areas, and farmers have been urged to take precautionary steps to safeguard their crops.
