Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly criticized the United States leadership, rejecting the possibility of any meeting between Iran’s Supreme Leader and the US President.
In a statement, Araghchi said that US President Donald Trump is “not living in the real world,” adding that the idea of a meeting between the Iranian Supreme Leader and the US President is completely unrealistic.
He also reportedly made a sensational claim, saying that he was present in the same office during an alleged incident linked to an assassination attempt on Ayatollah Khamenei. He further claimed that he survived and escaped from the rubble following the attack on the Supreme Leader’s office.
Commenting on regional affairs, the Iranian foreign minister highlighted Saudi Arabia’s role, describing it as a key regional power and an important stakeholder in Middle Eastern stability.
He said Iran attaches high importance to its relations with Saudi Arabia, adding that both countries can work together to promote peace, stability, and development in the region. Araghchi further stated that such cooperation could help secure a more stable and prosperous future for the Middle East.
