Two militants killed in intelligence-based operation in Washuk: security sources

Islamabad : Security forces have killed two suspected militants during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Washuk district, according to security sources.

The operation was carried out in the Palantak area of Washuk under the ongoing Operation Rad-ul-Fitna, which is aimed at countering militant networks operating in the province, the sources said.

According to officials, both militants were linked to Fitna al-Hindustan and were allegedly involved in attacks targeting the Mashkel police station and the Customs House.

During the operation, security personnel also destroyed the vehicle being used by the militants and recovered weapons and ammunition from the site.

The seized material was reportedly intended for further attacks, including targeted violence against local civilians and other terrorist activities, the sources added.

Security forces reiterated their resolve to continue intelligence-based operations against militant elements in Balochistan and said efforts would persist until the security threat in the province is fully neutralised.
