ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and conveyed Pakistan’s sincere gratitude for the kingdom’s unwavering support during a difficult period.
The meeting comes shortly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s two-day state visit to Saudi Arabia, where he performed Umrah and prayed for Pakistan’s success in its ongoing Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
During the visit, the prime minister praised Saudi Arabia’s proactive role in supporting peace and stability amid recent tensions between Pakistan and India.
Strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Ties
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s consistent backing of Pakistan through challenging times.
He acknowledged the clear and firm stance of the Saudi leadership on Pakistan’s issues, noting that the people of Pakistan hold the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the highest regard.

Sadiq further expressed optimism that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would continue to grow stronger.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, also present at the luncheon with the Crown Prince, thanked Saudi Arabia for the royal invitation to perform Haj and praised the excellent arrangements made for pilgrims.
Regional Stability and Future Cooperation
The meeting also touched upon regional stability, with Saudi Arabia reaffirming its commitment to addressing challenges facing the Islamic world.
The Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Aljubeir, welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between
Pakistan and India, an important step toward peace.
This diplomatic engagement reflects the deep and historic bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, rooted in mutual respect and cooperation.
