Pakistan and Turkey demand urgent humanitarian aid for Gaza, condemn Israeli offensive

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, had a phone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss the critical situation in Gaza and the ongoing Israeli military operations that are further exacerbating the crisis.

According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both ministers condemned Israel’s strategy of attempting to take full military control of Gaza. They described the actions as blatant violations of international law and the principles outlined by the United Nations Security Council. Ishaq Dar pointed out that these military measures not only breach global norms but also threaten the stability of the entire region.

Minister Dar also emphasized the immediate need for unhindered humanitarian aid to reach Gaza, urging that all exceptions granted to Israeli military operations must cease.

The conversation also touched upon the long-standing and strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Turkey. Both ministers affirmed their countries’ ongoing commitment to supporting the broader Muslim world in overcoming the challenges it faces. They also agreed on the need for sustained cooperation to defend the rights and interests of the Muslim community on the global stage.

Pakistan and Turkey have enjoyed enduring friendship and collaboration, particularly in defense, trade, education, and cultural exchanges. Both nations consistently advocate for justice in the international arena, particularly for the rights of Muslim populations globally.
